Difference in magnetic force between 6x1mm round magnet N35 and N52

6x1mm round (disc) magnet refers to the diameter of 6 mm, thickness of 1 mm round magnet, belongs to the hot small thin rare earth round magnet series, widely used in toys, packaging, leather goods, precision electronics and other fields, today this article will be its grade N35 and N52 to do a magnetism data comparison.

Measurements were first made on the dimensions of the two performance levels, edge surface magnetism, and center surface magnetism, respectively.

The following pictures show the dimensions of neodymium magnets N35 grade 6x1mm and the magnetic strength data.

Theoretically, a Neodymium Iron Boron magnet grade N52 will have about 20% higher surface magnetic force than N35. The actual test data in the two tables above show a 16% increase in edge magnetic force (gauss), which is close to the theoretical value. Center magnetic force of N52 is slightly higher than that of N35 by 5%.

To summarize, N52 magnets are superior to N35 magnets in terms of maximum magnetic energy product, apparent magnetism and suction. When selecting magnets, if there is a high demand for magnetic force, you should consider using N52 grade magnets. The cost factor should also be taken into account, as higher grade magnets are usually more expensive.

Small thin circular rare earth magnets are recommended;

Ultra thin small disc magnet with 3M adhesive 8mm x 0.75mm

Small diameter neodymium thin flat disc magnet 5mm x 0.5mm
