Magnetization angle of 3 pairs NS pole magnetic rings

The 3-pair pole magnet ring, that is, the ring magnet with 6 poles (6 NS), which is mainly used in various types of DC motors, is one of our advantageous products, and today's introduction is about its magnetization angle.

Each pair of poles of a magnet corresponds to a south pole and a north pole, so a 3-pole magnetic ring has 3 south poles and 3 north poles. The magnetization angle can be determined by the following calculation.

The circumference of the magnetic ring is 360 degrees, and there are 3 pairs of poles, each of which has an angular distribution of 360 degrees divided by 3. Thus, the angle between each pair of poles is 120 degrees.

If we consider in detail the angle of magnetization of a single pole (i.e., the angle of magnetization of a single south or north pole), we need to divide 120 degrees by 2 again, since each pair of poles contains a south pole and a north pole:

Therefore, the magnetization angle of the 3 pairs of poles magnetic ring can be understood as 120 degrees between each pair of north and south poles, and 60 degrees for each individual south or north pole.

Similarly, if you need to calculate the magnetization angle for other number of poles, use 360°/number of poles = magnetization angle.
