Difference Between Injection Molding Magnet No.6 12 Powder

In the use of injection molded magnetic products (injection molded ferrite or injection molded neodymium iron boron), the use of more or 6 powder and 12 powder, so what is the difference between nylon 6 and nylon 12? Which is better? Along with the editor to understand.

Nylon 6 series products are the best cost-effective products among the raw materials for injection molding magnets, which are widely used in the injection molding magnet industry with the characteristics of high temperature resistance up to 120 degrees/high strength/excellent fluidity.

Disadvantages: high water absorption, poor toughness, in most of the components with metal inserts can not guarantee long-term service life.

Application areas: laser printer cores/sensors/cylinder rings/induction rings/motor inner and outer rotors (plastic shaft cores)/water pump rings etc.

Introduction of Injection Molding Magnetic Nylon 12 Series;

Injection magnetic nylon 12 series is a kind of ferrite magnetic powder and nylon 12 (PA12) composite material, this material combines the good mechanical properties of nylon 12, chemical stability and ferrite magnetism, with excellent toughness and low water absorption, commonly used in the manufacture of a variety of need to have a certain degree of magnetism of the parts, such as plastic magnetic rotor, automotive sensors motor rotor, pneumatic magnetic ring, and so on.

Main differences;

1: Magnetic properties. No.12 powder provides stronger magnetic properties and is more suitable for high performance magnet applications.

2: Processing and molding. 6 powder has a relatively easy injection molding process because its magnetic properties are not as strong as 12 powder, so the requirements for magnetic molding are relatively loose and suitable for large-scale production. 12 powder tends to have higher requirements for molding process, temperature, pressure, etc. due to its higher magnetic properties.

3, Cost, No. 12 powder price is higher, because of its stronger magnetism, better performance. 6 powder is relatively low cost, suitable for cost-sensitive general applications.

4, Physical properties, No. 6 powder particles are larger, more stable magnetism, but the density is relatively low, No. 12 powder particles are finer, stronger magnetism.
