N48SH and N52 magnets both belong to the high performance grade of NdFeB, some users would like to know which magnetism of these 2 grades will be stronger, the following xiaofu will compare the magnetic properties of N48SH and N52 magnets, to help you better understand the difference between the two, as well as how to choose between the two in different application scenarios.
Under the same size, N52 grade has stronger magnetism
The "52" in N52 magnet represents a maximum magnetic energy product (BHmax) of 52 MGOe, while the "48" in N48SH magnet represents a maximum magnetic energy product (BHmax) of 48 MGOe. N52 is significantly higher than N48SH, indicating that the magnetic strength of N52 magnet is greater.
Longer rectangular neodymium block magnets
In terms of temperature resistance, N48SH is stronger than N52
Although N52 magnet has stronger magnetic properties, its temperature stability is relatively poor. The maximum working temperature of N52 magnet is 80 degree Celsius, while the maximum working temperature of N48SH magnet is 150 degree Celsius, so N48SH magnet is a better choice for working under higher temperature.
As for the choice, it's also easy. If you have higher requirements for magnetic strength, you can choose N52 (or even N54). If better temperature stability is required, N48SH would be a more suitable choice.
