N38 Magnet Grade Data And Strength

N38 grade is a performance grade of neodymium strong magnets, more commonly used, the following is about the meaning of N38 grade of neodymium magnets, magnetic performance data, Gaussian strength and tensile strength related introduction.

What is N38 magnet grade?

"N" is actually the first letter of neodymium magnets, the grades of sintered neodymium magnets begin with "N", so N38 is just a grade of neodymium magnets. The level of sintered neodymium magnets mainly are N35 / N38 / N40 / N42 / N45 / N48 N50 / N52 .There will be M H SH DH EH AH after the number of some grades. The difference between them is only the difference in the maximum temperature of the working temperature, such as the maximum temperature of N38 is 80 ° C, and the maximum temperature of N38M is 100 ° C.

The performances of N38 magnet grade:

Density: ≥7.5 (g/cm3)

Residual Induction (Br): 12.1-12.7KGs

Coercive Force (Hcb): 876-923KA/m   11.0-11.6KOe

Intrinsic Coercive Force (Hcj): ≥955KA/m ≥12KOe

Maximum Energy Product (BH): 287-310KJ/m³ 36-39MGOe

Max Working Temperature: 80℃

Is it be same pulling force and gauss strength of different specification and shape of N38 magnet?

No,If you only know the grade of magnet, it is not possible to determine the specific guass strength and pull force of the magnet. The grade only can decide the level of Guass strength, can not decide the specific data. And the pull force of the magnet is determined by Gauss strength and parameters of magnets, the higher the gauss, the greater the pull force of the magnet at the same specification and shape. Therefore, it can not think that the magnet of the surface strength of magnet is high so the pull force must be large! For example, the pull force of N50 D3 x 10mm < the pull force of N33 10 x 5mm (but the surface strength is opposite).

For example, the larger the number after the letter N (the larger the number after the letter N, the higher the performance), the higher the Gauss level. So N48 has a higher Gauss than N38, and so does the pull force at the same specification and shape.

It should be noted that the magnetic strength is also affected by other factors, including the size, shape and magnetization of the magnet. Therefore, the specific magnetic strength may vary depending on the application and specific design.

The following is a list of Gauss strength data of different specifications and shapes:
