N52 Magnet Surface Magnetism Range

N52 magnet is the current commercial NdFeB magnets in the performance of a stronger grade, with the advantages of small size strong suction, by the customers in various industries, there are some users want to know the N52 magnet surface magnetic (surface magnetic field strength) range, I hope that my answer below can help you.

What is the surface strength of N52 magnets?

For N52 magnets, its apparent magnetism can range from 1200-5600 gauss, depending on the magnet's size, shape, and measurement location. In general, smaller N52 magnets have a higher apparent magnetism because they are smaller and have a more concentrated magnetic field, while larger magnets may have a relatively lower magnetic field per unit area due to their larger surface area.

For example, a very small and thin N52 circular magnet 2mm x 0.3mm has an apparent magnetic strength of about 1400 gauss, and a 30x30mm N52 neodymium cylindrical magnet can have an apparent magnetic strength of 5500 gauss.

If you want to know the gauss value of a N52 magnet you can measure it with a gaussmeter, when measuring you need to pay attention to the measuring distance and the measuring direction, the induction probe of the gaussmeter needs to be parallel to the magnet, and the measuring direction needs to be the same as the magnet's magnetization direction.

Caution:

The surface magnetization value does not directly reflect the total magnetic performance of the magnet, but is closely related to the geometry.

If a higher apparent magnetism is required, this can be achieved by increasing the magnet thickness and raising the performance level (e.g. N54).
